"Belt and Road" Partners Visit Electro-power-cell Energy Tech and Sign First PEM Water Electrolysis System Procurement Agreement to Advance Global Green Hydrogen Cooperation

Recently, Electro-power-cell Energy Tech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. welcomed a distinguished delegation led by Dr. Abbas, R&D Director of a leading chemical company from a Belt and Road partner country. The visit focused on PEM water electrolysis, green hydrogen system applications, and cutting-edge electrochemical energy technologies. The two parties reached multiple agreements on international collaboration in hydrogen equipment, system integration applications, equipment procurement, and future joint development. The visit concluded with the official signing of the first PEM hydrogen production system procurement agreement.

Electro-power-cell: Accelerating Global Adoption of PEM Water Electrolysis Technology

During the visit, Dr. Abbas and his delegation toured Electro-power-cell’s electrolyzer production line, system integration center, and membrane electrode testing laboratory. They gained deep insights into the company's independently developed PEM water electrolysis system, which showcases industry-leading performance in efficiency, modular deployment, and durability. Key system features include:

1. Use of high-durability MEA components, suited for long-term, high-load operation

2. Hydrogen purity reaching up to 99.999%, meeting fuel-grade standards

3. Flexible hydrogen production range of 5–500 Nm³/h, adaptable to various industrial and transportation scenarios

As a key technology enabling real-world green hydrogen applications, PEM water electrolysis—with its high current density, rapid startup, and ultra-pure hydrogen output—is becoming the preferred solution for hydrogen infrastructure in the Middle East and globally. This cooperation marks Electro-power-cell’s formal entry into the Middle Eastern market, responding to the Belt and Road Initiative’s call for connectivity, and making a pivotal step toward exporting Chinese green hydrogen technology.

Focusing on a Green Hydrogen Future: Supporting Global Decarbonization

In subsequent technical discussions, the two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on the multi-scenario applications of green hydrogen. In recent years, the Middle East has rapidly advanced its clean energy transition. Green hydrogen is viewed as a cornerstone for industrial decarbonization, clean transportation, and renewable energy storage.

Dr. Abbas shared that their company is actively building a comprehensive value chain that spans from renewable hydrogen production to industrial application integration, with PEM electrolysis serving as the central technology to support their green hydrogen strategy.

Electro-power-cell also showcased its capabilities in distributed hydrogen production, smart system control, and remote operations & maintenance, and emphasized its future plans to expand cooperation in electrochemical systems, hydrogen purification, and hydrogen storage safety. Both sides discussed co-developing a model of localized green hydrogen production + efficient utilization.
